We just never quite worked out the winning part.
A hundred and fifty years of nearly qualifying, definitely qualifying, getting beaten by someone the size of a large Tesco, and coming home to a hero's welcome anyway. We've put traffic cones on more national monuments than we've scored goals at a World Cup. Make of that what you will.
